So, this week's verse came to me during Bible study this morning.  Like a bolt of lightening, I heard a voice say, "This is the verse to use today," so here it is.

Matthew 27:51  And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.

 

 I've been slacking off a bit on this lately and it's high time I get back into this, so here we are.  This weeks verse is...

Psalm 16: 8  I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

 I didn't do this post last week because - well I don't really have a good excuse LOL.  I didn't have a verse picked out, I got very busy with RL, and frankly I was feeling uninspired.  But I'm feeling inspired today, and this may be long, and it may be a two-parter.  So without further ado...I give you the TWO verses for this week.  

The first is I Samuel 13:14  But now your kingdom shall not endure.  The Lord has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kep twhat the Lord commanded you.

And the second Acts 13:22  After He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, "I have found David the son of Jess, a man after My heart, who will do all My will." 

 So, once again, this verse just jumped out at me.  Frankly, I'm surprised I haven't used this one before now...LOL.  You'll understand why when you see what it is :)

Proverbs 13: 24

So this is kind of a double post today.  I have a verse:  Galations 2: 21 - I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes from the law, then Christ died needlessly.  

But along with that, I'm feeling very moved to post this video again.  Those of you who have seen it...go on to the cut...those of you that haven't - this vid is EXTREMELY powerful.  Brings tears to my eyes every time.

 

I have to admit, I haven't really picked a verse for this week...the thing that is sticking in my mind is actually a quote. The person I found it attributed to is Dr. V. Raymond Edman, Former Chancellor of Wheaton College, and the quote is this: 

( Never doubt in the darkness, what God has shown you in the light... ) 

This one took some time for me to decide.  There were a few I had in mind but when I read through my list these two stuck in my head.

Romans 3:23    For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23   For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  

This week I'm going to do things a bit differently.  I have two verses (one of which was previously part of a longer post) that I'm going to tie together.  I had a bit of inspiration you might say during my Bible Study this morning.  

So the first verse is Psalm 23: 4   

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

The second verse is probably one of my all time favorites.  Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

The one I picked for this week is a new one for me, not on my list previously but tonight it practically jumped off the page, so here it is.

Psalm 73:26

 

 Just like with Prophecy Pilot, I'm taking advantage of the quiet and posting early.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring LOL.

It's back, the weekly Bible Verse.  I have to admit, I'm actually a bit surprised at my lack of following through.  I truly thought I had posted more, but I have only found 3 actual verses, I will be better this year, I promise.

Hey everyone,

I'm posting this early this week, in fact there may be two religious posts this week..I'm just feeling prodded and moved by the Spirit, and since I started this I promised to listen when I'm feeling the Spirit move me. Well, my parents sent me this youtube vid, and I think there is someone out there that could use this. It brought tears to my eyes but was just so moving and the wisdom of this boy is just amazing. So, please take the 2 minutes to listen to this, it truly is amazing.

And for all of you out there that aren't interested in my religious posts...I'd actually still like you to listen to this - it's a good message - but again, it's your choice. Skip it if you want - I'll never know LOL. And sorry but I still don't know how to embed a youtube vid WITH an lj cut...so...without further ado...here it is.

Yup, it's back.  I actually had to think long and hard about which one I wanted to post this week.  I'm skipping themes and choosing a Christmassy verse..and no it's not the one you're thinking of...I will get to that one :)

Normally, I would put all of this under an lj cut but I don't know how to do that and post a vid, so those of you that don't want to read anything religious, stop now. :)

I know I said I would post a Bible verse a week, and I missed last week due to the con and Thanksgiving. I was going to continue with the theme of "not beating myself up" but this week I thought I would post a vid instead. It is NOT my vid. It is a skit that was posted on Youtube. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this vid and it brings tears to my eyes every single time. It is just such a powerful expression of God's forgiveness and love for all of us, no matter how far we fall. So, I think I'll just let the vid speak for itself. Those of you that know Brdwaybebe should recognize this, she posted it first :)
